Understand the big picture
Map out the stakeholders / contractors / etc – based on the main tasks
Define the communication lines
Define how issues for each interface will be handled – and by whom?
Choose, implement and maintain an IT system tool
Most importantly, clearly agree on, and document the chosen project interface management strategy - in the Interface Management Plan
Communicate
In meetings
By phone, email, morse code, semaphore flag or any other means you find useful
Use common sense: you don’t need to ‘communicate’ through the system – but you must make sure all relevant issues and info are registered and updated in the system
