Definition of Interface Issue

A question (e.g. information request, clarification, or request to review a document) raised by one party (the requesting party) towards another party (the providing party) that needs to be resolved within a certain date.

It has many names/abbreviations in different interface management IT system tools - for example Interface Query, Interface Request, Interface Sheet (IS), DIIR, ICD.

Note: an interface issue that might affect the scope of work of a team may lead to a project change – and a project change proposal can lead to one or more interface issues to be resolved.

Interface Issue is frequently confused with interface and also sometimes confused with battery limit.
Signed, agreed interface issues may sometimes be referred to as an Interface Agreement
